Web Design - As a multidisciplinary designer, I have a significant amount of experience as to the strengths and limitations of different visual formats. In particular, web design is a strong example of the necessary emphasis on understanding potential format limitations. As an ever expanding field, there is an increasing need for websites to emphasize widespread compatibility, as well as high usability and effective visual styling.

Compatibility, in particular, is an often overlooked aspect of web design, as there are a great number of emerging programming languages and add-ons being utilized. Additionally, the web browser market is increasingly fragmented, with varied levels of compliance for established standards. As a result of this variance, the experience of the end user has rapidly become inconsistent, and is largely reliant on their individual hardware and software configuration.

As a result of these issues, I design and produce hand-coded websites according to W3C specifications, with valid XHTML Strict markup and CSS presentation standards in mind. As a result, I am able to provide consistent and highly compatible websites which are functional in a majority of modern browsers of every platform.

Print Design - As the most physically tangible type of design, we can see (and often take for granted) the heavy influence of print design in all aspects of our day to day life. Ranging anywhere from book covers, magazine ads, DVD artwork, and even the packaging on the latest technology purchase, there are many fine examples of how highly saturated we are with the end results of the medium.

One must also consider that it has become much more easy for individuals to attempt to handle such things for themselves, with options ranging from glorified drag and drop editors to lackluster print services from an office supply print center that often use similar applications. As a result, it is more important than ever to have an understanding of design principles so as to provide effective and timely solutions for print oriented projects.

It is with this in mind that I provide guidance so as to communicate the desired message clearly and effectively.

Photography - A single image that is properly prepared can often be a far more effective form of communication than an entire paragraph of text. I have always made it a point to operate under this principle every time that I step behind the camera, as clear and concise imagery is often the difference that allows a project to be perceived in a more professional light.

As a photographer, I aim to work with the client to provide quality images that are both well executed and properly edited. This allows the images to be utilized in the most effective manner overall, be it independently or as part of a larger overall piece of work.

Film Production - I have been involved in a widely varied number of roles within the field of mass communications, both in front of and behind the camera. Past projects have resulted in my handling of anything ranging from directing, acting, operating cameras, as well as working behind the editing board.

With my firsthand knowledge of what goes into all of these respective positions, I am uniquely qualified to provide effective guidance as to the planning, direction, and production of projects within film and television.
